LOS ANGELES, CA – October 19, 2015 – This fall, illusionist Michael Grandinetti, known for his television and live appearances around the country, will perform in three of his most spectacular projects to date:
ARIZONA CARDINALS NFL HALFTIME (October 26) – Michael will bring magic to the masses in a stunning large-scale halftime show for the Arizona Cardinals vs Baltimore Ravens football game next week. During the show at University of Phoenix Stadium, 65,000 people, one of the largest live audiences in history for a magic show, will watch with a 360 degree view as Michael causes people to appear, disappear, and shrink to the size of a football in the vast open space of a stadium field. For a finale, Michael will levitate 10ft into the air above the 50 yard line. Michael also plans to incorporate the popular Arizona Cardinals mascot, Big Red, and the Cardinals Cheerleaders into the magic and will be inviting all 65,000 people in the stadium to participate in a special interactive illusion at the same time. The game begins at 5:30pm and will be broadcast live on ESPN.
HUNTSVILLE SYMPHONY MAGIC (October 30) – For Halloween, the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra welcomes Michael as the featured guest performer for their “An Evening of Halloween Magic” Pops presentation. Featuring live musical selections ranging from the theme to Harry Potter to Hall of the Mountain King, Michael will perform wonders including vanishing half of his body, transforming a tuxedo and baton into conductor Gregory Vajda, and levitating while surrounded by the playing orchestra. As a special surprise, Michael will close the show by giving “magical powers” to the orchestra itself, causing them to play songs that are only thought of by the audience! “An Evening of Halloween Magic” at Mark C. Smith Concert Hall in Huntsville, Alabama will begin at 7:30pm.
BONES on FOX (November 12) – Michael recently completed filming for an upcoming episode of the Emmy-nominated FOX network series “Bones”, starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, now in its 11th season. In the episode, entitled “The Promise In The Palace”, the forensic team investigates the murder of an escape artist from a popular club called The Magic Palace who had some secret activities in the works that might have made him enemies in the magic community. Filmed on-location in Hollywood, Michael performed his Mid-Air Levitation for the episode, suspending a girl 6ft in the air while the camera captured the magic from every angle. This special magic-themed episode of Bones is scheduled to air November 12 at 8:00pm on FOX.
Recently named by Entertainment Weekly as “a great magician who can truly communicate with a TV audience” and one of the popular stars of the hit CW series “Masters of Illusion” (now in its second season and airing in over 100 countries around the world), Grandinetti has had a busy summer with live performances in Hawaii, Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando, and Ontario, Canada. Over the years, Michael’s magic has been featured in national and international television specials and series (NBC’s The World’s Most Dangerous Magic, The Bold and the Beautiful, Sports Center, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight), during NFL halftime shows, major league baseball games, and NBA basketball games, with Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch, in theaters, casinos, and arenas around the country, in Washington DC’s National Independence Day Parade, and at The White House. Michael is also currently appearing in the new magic series “Don’t Blink” on Pop TV and maintains a busy nationwide touring schedule.
